We have been blessed with some outstanding performances during Canadian Music Week 2017 so big congrats to the organizers, promoters, venues and artists. Things kicked off with a great tempo when Krysta Lee took the stage. Krysta, dressed in black with a black cowboy hat and her band delivered a fine set of solid music, and by the smiles on stage she was having fun. Great personality and voice, and with Paul Chapman on guitar and Dan McGrath on fiddle she definitely had some talent filling out the sound. This was just what I needed to perk me up as the night got started. She ran through some of the songs she explained that were favourites of hers and she did them justice, that’s for sure.

Krysta Lee, thank you for singing at our opening Ceremonies for our 2013 Relay for Life event and being part of a very successful day. Since its inception in 2001, Relay For Life Hamilton has raised over an incredible 2.6 million dollars for the Canadian Cancer Society and it's mission; the eradication of cancer and the enhancement of quality life of those living with cancer. In addition to past years, this year we were able to raise over $350,000 with a portion being donated to Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre Foundation to support the purchase of a new Chemotherapy Mixing Robot. Your commitment to the community as well as the Canadian Cancer Society is greatly appreciated. We would love to have you, or you and your band back next year. Together. Strong.
